Re: Tina2S Bed Levelling Issue
sounds like gantry is not level I don't see how. When the bed levelling operation senses the position of the bed, it can't tell the difference between the bed and the X gantry – all it knows is the Z displacement when the proximity sensor triggers. The plane of the bed as measured in the printer's X ...

Re: Hi all
The Tina2 is the only printer I have real experience with, the rest is observations based on that experience. Somebody else on here (with a Tina2) recently acquired a Tina2S, if you look in the right area you'll find the report. Here: https://www.3dprintersforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=621 He says it ...

Tina2S Bed Levelling Issue
A new proximity sensor "fixed" the Tina2S I acquired (in that it now sort-of works), but there remains a problem: although it goes through the 3-point pre-print levelling, and although I can see the Z axis lead screw making adjustments as the nozzle moves in XY, it doesn't seem to be making ...

Tina2 vs Tina2S
I've acquired a broken Tina2S on the cheap. It appears to have the usual problem with the proximity sensor (to be confirmed when a new one gets delivered). Mechanically, it's pretty much the same as a Tina2. Differences versus original Tina2: Internal LED illumination. Heated bed. Sprung metal ...

IPA = isopropyl alcohol AKA rubbing alcohol.
Yes, although for oily substances I think white spirit might be more effective.

How Thick is a Piece of Paper?
Following discussion on a Facebook group, I decided to find out what my actual Z offset gap is and ordered a set of feeler gauges.
0.05mm
But there’s a problem: the feeler gauges are protected from rust by a thin film of oil, so I expect I have contaminated the print bed in the process

Why Are They Using Facebook???
My interest is the Tina2, so I am monitoring the Tina2 user groups on Facebook. What happens over there is somebody has a problem and posts a question (often without much in the way of a video to show what's happening, or even photos) and expects an informed answer. What they usually get is people ...

Re: Tina2 Tweaks & Mods
Just in case it helps anybody: the Tina2 manual says the maximum size of microSD card is something like 8GB, but I am currently successfully using a 128GB card (8GB cards are hard to find!).
I'm not certain it would be able to access the whole card, but it certainly works for a few files.

Re: Design and Print Without A PC
It turns out I might have been able to slice on-line using AstroPrint. It's not obvious, but I have spotted in YouTube videos a download option for the slicer results rather than only being able to send them to a fab.
