Re: filament not sticking to the bed ?

With PLA if the bed is level and the nozzle height is ok you should not be having warping issues. It could be the filament is not very good.

What temperature is the nozzle set to?

Re: filament not sticking to the bed ?

Make sure that the nozzle height above the bed is, slightly squishing the first layer. Also make sure that there are no drafts. You could try turning the fan off or reducing its use on the first layer so the first layer does not cool too fast. PLA at 50 on a heated bed with masking tape should not h...

Re: filament not sticking to the bed ?

So it is very common to use masking tape for printing on. The first thing you have to ensure for first level adhesion is that the print bed is level. Also you want the height of the nozzle from the bed to be very small, a sheet of A4 paper think, you want to be able to move the paper between the noz...

Re: Extrusion width compensatio .

remember sla printers work differently from fdm. extrusion is not the issue. But I am assuming that you know that anyway. I'd suggest having ago at building one. There are plenty of designs out there. It's good fun. We have a series of blog posts on the website about a build that we did. there is al...

Re: Extrusion width compensatio .

Yes in the printer settings for the slicer software it asks for the diameter of the nozzle used. The width of the extrusion path changes with layer height as you still have the same volume of plastic coming out of the extruder so if its lower then it has to be wider, if it is higher it is narrower. ...

Re: Extrusion width compensatio .

the slicer software that generates the g-code from the .stl file for the 3d printer takes into account the changes in width of the filament path due to different layer heights. For more detail in the x-y plane this is why it is best to use smaller nozzle diameter (nozzle diameter is also a variable ...

Re: CR-10s Mesh Leveling Question

Agree with @martinc . Its probably best to see if you can fix the issue rather than try and come up with some work around. You want to reduce as much error as possible caused by the build. It could be that you smooth rods are not straight. The fact that you have noticed it suggests that it is probab...

Re: My ctc or prusa clone

The firm ware is what is loaded on the control board of the printer. Have you tried contacting the shop you purchase it from? If it is not working you should get a refund. what stops the printbed and extruder assembly from moving too far to the left or right are endstops. these are usually mechanica...
