Re: Extrusion width compensatio .

the slicer software that generates the g-code from the .stl file for the 3d printer takes into account the changes in width of the filament path due to different layer heights. For more detail in the x-y plane this is why it is best to use smaller nozzle diameter (nozzle diameter is also a variable ...

Re: CR-10s Mesh Leveling Question

It could be that you smooth rods are not straight. The fact that you have noticed it suggests that it is probab...

Re: My ctc or prusa clone

The firm ware is what is loaded on the control board of the printer. Have you tried contacting the shop you purchase it from? If it is not working you should get a refund. what stops the printbed and extruder assembly from moving too far to the left or right are endstops. these are usually mechanica...

Re: CTC DIY printer help please

can't do anything about your computers.
as to filament, yes when you have finished printing you can just leave it to get cold. next time you print the extruder heats up and doesn't start printing until it has reached the temperature set for the print.

Re: My ctc or prusa clone

you need to look at the firmware settings for the board, it sounds like it is not set up correctly. You can find these in your configuration.h file in your firmware. also, if the stepper motors are working in an opposite direction you can try switching the leads around, this will make it work in the...

Re: starting up a 3D printer

have a look at repetier. yo will need to install the firmware on your board (they have a handy wizard to help with this) and then install the host software on the connected pc. You will have to tinker with the firmware settings but this is the way to start. Its all about the configuration.h file set...
