Re: Newby advice which printer

If you want to print with a range of filaments then you will need to have a heated bed and ideally and enclosed print area. This reduces warping issues. One of the things you will need to ask yourself is do you want it very plug'n play or completely open software. Also £300 is a very low budget. Wha...

Re: Thicker layer offset

It is difficult to diagnose from afar but a mechanical issue seems likely. you could try moving the model about to see if it is limited to a specific area of the xy space and also if it is occurring at the same height always. if it was a gradual continuous movement in one direction then it is possib...

Re: Thicker layer offset

It looks a bot like your over extruding. As to layer shift, the abruptness of it looks like a mechanical issue. it doesn't look so much like a belt problem it looks like a physical impediment to movement and the pressure be released suddenly so that the print heads jars. Check that your axis are abl...

Re: 3D printing Problems

Hi @Andley603 , This is to do with the wiring of the stepper motors to the stepper motor drivers. Basically you need to reverse the port wiring. Here is a video from Printrbot that will give some explanation. https://youtu.be/-iubywKkNEE We don't know your board or stepper motors so check the wiring...

Re: help for a noobie please

First picture looks better than the last. The last picture is possibly over extrusion but there also is an issue of stringing which is part to retraction settings and temperature of hot end. The first one looks like a straight bed adhesion issue. so in order to get things started. 1. if you are new ...

Re: Da vinci 1.0 jnr

In theory yes but you should't apply it straight on to the bed as it is just going to make a mess. Are you having problems with first layer adhesion?

there is the da vinci junior bed tape of course.

3D printer nozzle cleaning filament

Just in we have 3D printer nozzle cleaning filament for sale.

This is great for running through your printer between switching materials. It is especially useful were there is a difference in hotend temperature requirements between the different filaments.

Re: Newbie fan problem

The wanhao i3 is a Prusa i3 design. There are a lot of printers using this design. They differ in the quality of the components used to build them but they are essentially the same sort of 3D printer.

If you want a brief run down of it we have a guide on how to build a prusa i3 yourself.
