Design details

Hi.
New to 3d printing and at 77 years old, not an awful lot of brain cells left.
Ideally I want to 3d print a block measuring 100 x 100 x 25mm with several small holes in it. I am assuming I cannot just draw a circle to leave a hole so do I need a circle that is blacked out or what please ?

Hi,
How are you designing your model, what software are you using.

What you would need to do is create a solid in the dimensions you have listed and then for the holes create solid cylinders of the diameter you want for the hole and the height corresponding to the depth of the hole. Then position the cylinder within your block, with the top edge at the top edge of the block.

Then you subtract the cylinder solid from the block solid and this will leave you a hole.

Repeat for the number of wholes you want.

How exactly you go about these steps depends upon the 3D design software you are using.
