https://www.simplify3d.com

Simplify3D is probably the best and it is well supported via a user forum.

Cura is very capable and is free. Consider version 2 for an option, version 3 is recently released and I'm not yet convinced it is quite ready for prime time.

Flashprint is free and targeted at Flashforge 3d printers. Pretty good but not ideal for non-Flashforge printers.

I forgot to mention Repetier Host which is a capable slicer and useful if you need to get under the hood of firmware.

If installed on a network it is possible to hook up a 3D printer with USB and then remotely access the printer remotely thru Repetier Host via a browser. That could potentially be useful if your printer is remote to your design PC. You might consider installing the printer in an outside garage for printing with ABS - the fumes generated by ABS can be troublesome for printing in the home.
