Hacking Roland EGX-20 with J262-859 stepper motors

Hello! I´m new here, wondering if anyone can help me with how to use J262-859 stepper motors? I have 3 that I got out of a Roland EGX-20 milling machine, they have 6 cables each and all of them are white.... I have some pololu A4988 stepper drivers around, would these work?My plan is to get the roland going again with arduino uno for a 3d printer or milling maching depending on the head.... It all works ok currently except that it requires a serial conection I dont have and wont recognize the USB adapter I bought. Thanks in advance for any advice!
