I am looking to buy my first 3D printer and have been on undecided on the best options. I have been looking at the Prusa i3 MK2 (http://shop.prusa3d.com/en/3d-printers/ ... 2-kit.html) and all the reviews look great but they are currently out of stock for 6/7 weeks, is it worth waiting for them to come back in stock or get an alternative like the reRaps of the i3 like http://www.reprap.cn/he3d-prusa-ei3-sin ... p-182.html or the duplicator i3 3d printer. Are there alternatives better than the Prusa i3 on a budget or shall I wait?

It can be difficult to comment on individual printer kits as it is almost impossible to know how they vary in terms of component quality, especially given that the models you name are all Prusa i3s, so there only real difference is component quality.

You will have to investigate this aspect but you probably won't know until you get the kit. Also you should think about which source is going to offer the best aftercare service and is most likely to respond to customer service enquiries.

As iDig3Dprinting said it can be difficult to advise on what printer you should go for due to the huge choice and varied nature of each printer.

However, you seem to be going about choosing the right way. Also the Prusa i3 printers are very popular and people rate them highly.

Are there any more you have considered?

Rubix, I am in the same position as yourself. My estimation of our situation is buy cheap by twice. I maybe wrong but there is massive prise difference between the "clones" and what I consider the orginal article,Prusa i3 mk2. It has a lot of very good reveiws and they will be using good quality components?. The fact that they can not keep up with demand is an indication of its value for money and the confidence its customers have. I am new to this 3d printing so what do I know ?

Zortrax M200
8.9

There’s a reason this machine has been featured in our 2015, 2016 and 2017 3D Printer Guide, debuting this year in the Prosumer category. The Polish manufacturer Zortrax prides themselves in producing one of our community's top choices in 3D printers available today. Zortrax found initial fame through its Kickstarter campaign in 2013, launching the M200 that promised ease of use matched with professional quality.

Manufactured out of sturdy aluminum, the M200 is capable of printing straight out of the box with very little time needed for calibration and could just as well been featured in our Plug 'n' Play category. Thanks to an automated platform leveling system, calibration is a breeze. Its perforated build platform and build area of 200mm × 200mm × 185mm mitigates the material's tendency to warp, making ABS the optimal material of choice for printing. 3d printing service surat delhi mumbai india

Of all of the 3D printers surveyed, our Hubs continue to rate the Zortrax M200 one of the highest overall for print quality, reliability and value for money. The professional standard of the Zortrax printer is really what made it rank so highly in the Prosumer category, paired with it’s reliability.

Great thought if you wish to buy a 3D Printer, but you did not mention the budget. For instance, cheap 3D printer kits may be available at a price as less as $175 and there are others which cost thousands of dollars.
Ensure the kind of need you have with the 3D printer and then invest your money on a good equipment from some popular brand.
