Hi,
Complete novice here. I've seen a project that I would love key to get involved with on Fb. It is printing parts for prosthetic limbs. I feel very passionate about getting involved in this project, but due to illness, I've not got a lot of spare cash atm. My question is, can I somehow buy individual parts and slowly build my own printer this way?
Many thanks for any help.

Hi Dnarred,
Yes you can.
We wrote about this on our website. You can follow the process that we went through here: https://www.idig3dprinting.co.uk/news/b ... -to-start/
Now it is not a step by step guide for a particular printer, in this instance it is based on building a Prusa i3 rework, but there is some information that you will find very useful. Part 2 on buying parts you should get a lot of information from and it explains a bit about what the different parts do and how to go about selecting the parts.
Keep us infromed about how you get on.
Best regards,

You can get a RepRap 3D printer to print a 3D printer for yourself in parts. Check the online website ‘3D Printers Online Store’ and you can buy a number of good RepRap 3D printers from the online store at reasonable costs.
