Best £300-ish 3d printer

Post by Geordie-Dave »

Hi all

New to the scene. Have some experience of cnc using a hobyy cnc I built at home.

Looking for some advice on a 3d printer around the £300 mark (new or used).

parts to make would be sculptures, RC car & drone parts & gears for projects.

Also, is it a massive knowledge step up from using a cnc to 3d printing?

Any advice great;y appreciated.

Thanks for your time. :D

Hi Geordie Dave,

What about the Wanhao Duplicator i3 ?

This is a classic 3D printer design, tried and tested Prusa i3 3D printer design with a heated bed. It will allow you to print most things and will give you a good amount of control so that you can optimise your print settings for different materials.

Bear in mind 3D printing is not an exact science so it will require some hands on learning to get things right.

We offer other 3D printers at the same sort of price, the XYZprinting range, like the Da Vinci Junior and Da Vinci Mini but they would not allow you to print with different materials, apart from the Da Vinci Junior Pro but this is more expensive than your £300 budget.

If you have any questions please feel free to get in touch and ask (best to do it via the websites contacts form as we don't check the forum religiously.
