starting up a 3D printer

Post by BabixzRacing »

HI. I am new to this forum and need some help.  I have just completed building my printer based on Martin Broekx design with different print heads. The electronics are Aduino ramps 1.4and mega2560 with A4988 drivers and a LCD 12864 screen. My question is what programs do I need to install to get the printer to start and how to do this. My strengths are mechanical, electronic are  not the best. Thanks Charlie

have a look at repetier. yo will need to install the firmware on your board (they have a handy wizard to help with this) and then install the host software on the connected pc. You will have to tinker with the firmware settings but this is the way to start. Its all about the configuration.h file settings in the firmware. you can use arduino ide to load the firmware
