Vertical Z axis print Strength
Hi all, A bit of a Newbie here. I have grips on the freecad software and to a fair degree Cura. A couple of my designs (A biscuit cutter and a food can cap) have problems when printed. The layers (Z axis layers) are 'Weak' and either snap off or break / tear away. I am using a Monoprice MP Select Mini 3 Printer with Sunlu filament with a Nozzle temp of 200C and a bed temp of 45-50C. Any help in getting vertical strength will be gratefully appreciated thank you.
Re: Vertical Z axis print Strength
The vertical axis in FDM printing can be weak. Try...
1. Increase the hot end temp.
2. Slow the print speed.
3. Reduce the layer height.
All three should give you better layer bond.
