Hi, i have a gearbox im buidling for a model and i need a duplicate or 3 of a gear i already have, the manufacturer (original) is long gone, so getting a genuine part is impossible, is it possible to scan (using terms i use sorry) the existing part and 3d print a replacement? is there anyone out there who does this?
any help / advise / thoughts greatly appreciated

Hi,
Do you have a photo of the gear?
there is now reason why this is not possible although we would say that due to the need to create an accurate gear it is probably better to construct a 3D model of the gear and print it from that.
