P1S or A1 Mini

Post by RHGM »

hi, I am trying to buy my next 3D printer, I already own a Creality K1 but trying to decide between the Bambu Lab P1S or the A1 Mini, which one should I get, unfortunately I can only afford 1 of them at the moment, please advise which one is better and which one would you choose, thanks a lot

Hello and welcome.

Which should you get? How can anyone advise? You haven't said what your priorities are. I think if you work out what you need from a printer, that will help you decide which one is right for you (or perhaps another one entirely).

Bambu provide very good specifications sheets:

A1 Mini

P1S

...and the major differences are obvious:

P1S: Build volume 256x256x256mm; Filament compatibility PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA, PVA, PET, PA, PC; Enclosed, air filter.

A1 Mini: Build volume 180x180x180mm; Filament compatibility PLA, PETG, TPU, PVA; Open frame.

You say you can't afford to buy both, but why would you want to? The P1S can clearly do everything the A1 Mini can do, and much more.

Why might you not want to buy a P1S? It's significantly bigger, so might take up too much room. It's twice the price of an A1 Mini.

hi, I am looking to get into multicolour printing, I already own a Creality K1, I am interested on printing many different objects like desk organisers, coasters but also I want to get into something more complex like printing helmets and things like that, thanks a lot for your answer.

So possibly 256x256x256 isn't big enough.

It seems like an easy choice, if you have that amount of money to spend and you've looked at what other manufacturers have to offer for a similar price.
