Flashforge creator pro 2016 problem

Post by xx1180 »

I have had this printer for 18 months now and all has been ok until a month ago the right extruder stops feeding while printing there is no set time it can stop after a few minutes or after half an hour. I know it is not the filament as it works on the left extruder without problem I don't know if it is the stepper motor, stepper controller or the motherboard. I want to try replacing the stepper motor first but I can not seam to find what motor I need can someone please help

Have you tried looking at the extruder. Some times the hobbed bolt can get a little slippy on the filament due to the build up of plastic on the bolt. You could also try increasing the tension on the filament as it is pulled through the extruder.

It’s probably the extruder which is inefficient in its working. You can view the user manual of the equipment to be clear with the trouble and this would also inform you about the kind of stepper motor you need for your 3D printer.
