I sincerely doubt it. The USB type B is a slave (peripheral) not master, intended to connect to a computer not act as a computer. I hoped to use it as a source of 5V, but it doesn't even provide that (as a slave, it wouldn't).

I don't like the micro-SD either, but it's a lot easier to support micro-SD than implement all the layers required for a USB stack.

Gonna see if I can use a micro SD extension cable that goes to full size SD card. Should be able to solder tabs on the cable to make them a bit thicker so they wedge inside and are tighter against the contacts

I wanted one of those for my dashcam but couldn't find one. Please let me know where you get yours.

ordered the microsd to full size extension cable from aliexpress for 2 quid. should be here sometime next week.
also reported this issue to weefun support who are sending me out a replacement controller board. got to hand it to weefun the support they give is absolutely phenomenal.

got this all working a while ago. the micro sd to full size sd card converter works perfect. its wedged in tight and moving it around doesnt cause a disconnect.
big sd cards got better contact and better reliability with high vibration environments so work great for 3d printer.
got a spare mobo too from the one weefun support sent. tina2 got to love it.
