Hi all,
I'm working on a joystick lever and trying to print the stick part which is 4mm in diameter but it keeps melting. I've tried a few different settings with no luck. Using a nano easy three and cura for slicing. I've tried the temp down to 185 on the basic pla that came with the printer. Tried removing the inside and changing the density. It will print lying flat but I want to print it vertical.
Any ideas?

Hi. Not sure what you mean by "it keeps melting" but here are some thoughts...
What is the bed temp?
Is the Z axis moving freely upward during printing?
Usually, PLA supplied with low cost printers is of a very poor quality. I have thrown away loads that I couldn't get to print.
Also, a 4mm tube for a joysitck printed vertically will be very weak and will snap easily at a layer joint. You might consider getting a small aluminium tube and using that incorporated into your design. Aluminium is light and easy to cut with a junior hacksaw.
