Which Software

Hi all

I've just received a 3D printer for my 50th. At the moment my son is printing things as a trial that he has downloaded off sites. Hammer holder, drill battery holder etc.

I want to start making my own models, names, house numbers, amongst other things but I don;t know what software to use. Is there a free software I can use to make my own designs?
